The Marcus Family band has been playing music for many generations. Dan and Michael are life-long musicians who are pleased to share the stage with the next generation of Marcus musicians. Max and Nate. They are joined by their honorary MFB member Tim Volpicelli Marcus. Their performance is dedicated to their Grandma Sarah, Father Marc and Son David Marcus.
(2:45-3:30pm) MDM TRIO
Guitarist Michael Whitmore and Saxophonist Dianne Krouse, hosts of Voice of Vashon's Friday morning scramble are joined by Bassist Michael Marcus, who is new to the island. Although they have all played together in other settings, this is their debut performance as a trio. Expect the unexpected.

Lifelong friends Phil Rosenbaum and Jim Ferrari started their musical collaboration nearly thirty years ago. Regular performers at Blue Heron Art Openings and several Art Auctions, Some Hat as opened for such acts as Pearl Django, Gretta Metassa and Grammy winners Tingstad and Rumble. Playing original compositions of smooth jazz and blues, they always leave their fans wanting more. Starting in 1996 Some Hat performed at nine Strawberry Festivals, and after pursuing different musical directions they are finally back.
(4:45-5:30pm) BOB KRINSKY & PAT FEREDAY
Bob Krinsky and Pat Fereday partner-up to perform a selection of Bob’s original compositions from his three CD’s: Vashmakahn (1995), Radio Daddyo (2005) and In Search of the Free World (2014). They met 6 years ago when Pat, a stalwart bass and guitar player on the Tacoma music scene, visited Bob’s Vashon Guitar Company showroom in downtown Tacoma. This led to Pat joining in the guitar business and joining many of Bob’s musical incantations. Pat is now Bob’s favorite studio bass player and live sideman. Bob has lived on Vashon since 1973. He has played his tunes from the Catskill Mountains of New York to the Cascade Mountains of Washington and Oregon. An eclectic blend of styles, Bob’s music brings together friends of all ages and backgrounds.
Riverbend, the popular island band of Paul Colwell, Rochelle Munger, Peter Larsen, Dave Lang, Cliff Simpson and Chuck Roehm, and will play at Strawberry Festival 2016. Chuck & Peter, played for many years as part of the island band, “The Garage Boys”, Paul is well known for playing with many Island groups as well as the “The Colwell Brothers” and the “Up with People” groups. Dave is known for his family Cajun band, the Seattle based band Cajun band “How’s-Bayou”, and many other Island groups. Rochelle and Cliff, who are well known on the Island and have played in many venues and styles of music rounds out the group. This band has a wide breadth of musical experience and talent sure to please.
